Sorelle Voce is an advanced women's ensemble which serves two purposes. 1) To provide opportunities for advanced female singers to continue to vocally develop and musically progress, and 2) To help prepare women who want to earn eventual placement within the Concert Choir and/or Chamber Singers. The choir focuses on advanced SSA and SSAA choral music from a variety of genres and composers, and provides necessary knowledge of music fundamentals and vocal technique for more advanced choirs. If desire, scheduling, and successful audition allows, some Sorelle Voce singers will be encouraged to enroll simultaneously with Concert Choir. An annual choir tour is included in the curriculum, and expected of Sorelle Voce ladies, as it provides unique opportunities for significant personal and ensemble musical enhancement, academic growth and life-lasting memories of incredible times with some of your best friends!
In 2012 and 2013 respectively, Maple Mountain's Sorelle Voce was honored to have earned the "Command Performance Award" from their performance at the ACDA-BYU Women's Chorus Festival, and was invited to perform the opening act on the deJong Concert Hall stage at the BYU Women's Chorus concert in the Spring of both years. Additionally, Sorelle Voce was invited to perform at Utah's Trade Secret professional development conference held at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
